Makefield Women’s Association Awards $27,000 to Local Non-Profits

Tonight is one of our favorite nights of the year.  After months of fundraising, planning, volunteering, and coming together as a community, the Makefield Women’s Association had the incredible honor of awarding $27,000 to local organizations making a real difference right here in Bucks County.  This night is always more than just a check presentation. It is a reminder of what is possible when a group of women comes together with a shared purpose: to support, uplift, and care for our neighbors.

A Year of Community in Action

Each year, MWA members dedicate their time and energy to raising funds through events like Designer Bag Bingo, raffles, and service initiatives. These efforts all lead to this moment, where the impact becomes tangible.

Through a thoughtful nominating and voting process, our members select organizations whose missions align with our commitment to supporting those in need. The funds raised throughout the year are then distributed each April to help these organizations continue their vital work in our community.  This year, thanks to the generosity of our members, local businesses, and the greater Bucks County community, we are proud to award $27,000 to five incredible beneficiaries.

A Night That Reminds Us Why We Do This

There is something incredibly powerful about being in a room filled with people who care deeply about their community.  Tonight, we celebrated not only the funds raised but the stories behind them. The families supported. The lives changed. The small moments that turn into something much bigger.  It is easy to look at a number like $27,000 and see a total. But behind that number are hours of volunteering, countless conversations, generous donations, and a shared belief that together, we can make a difference.

Thank You

To our members, sponsors, donors, and community,

Thank you for showing up.  Thank you for giving.  Thank you for believing in what we do.  Because of you, we can support organizations doing meaningful, life-changing work right here in Bucks County.
