Makefield Women’s Association’s Year of Giving
A Simple Idea That Grew into Something Big
Forty-five years ago, a small group of women gathered with a simple mission: to serve their community. They saw needs—families struggling, local organizations underfunded, neighbors facing hardship—and they stepped up. What started as a grassroots effort has flourished into the Makefield Women’s Association (MWA), a powerhouse of service, support, and sisterhood in Bucks County.
Now, in 2025, we celebrate 45 years of making an impact. And what better way to honor our legacy than by doing what we do best—giving back?
When Women Come Together, Change Happens
✅ Raised funds for local nonprofits through annual beneficiary programs
✅ Collected and distributed essential items to those in need every single month
✅ Provided meals to families facing food insecurity through Caring for Friends
✅ Brought joy to children in shelters with events and activities
✅ Kept our community clean by maintaining a three-mile Adopt-a-Highway stretch
We’ve done all this and more, but we’re setting our sights even higher this year.

Introducing “45 Acts of Service”
Each act will highlight what we stand for: community, generosity, and the power of women working together. From donation drives to hands-on projects, these 45 acts will be our love letter to Bucks County.
