Makefield Women’s Association Serving Bucks County

As part of our 45th anniversary celebration, the Makefield Women’s Association launched 45 Acts of Service—a year-long initiative dedicated to giving back to the Bucks County community that has supported us for decades.

Throughout the year, our members partner with local nonprofits, donate resources, and volunteer their time across the region. During February, we proudly completed three additional Acts of Service, each one reflecting our commitment to supporting neighbors throughout Bucks County, PA.

February Service and Donation Projects

Caring for Friends Meal Program

Members volunteered with Caring for Friends, preparing and assembling 143 meals for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in the greater Philadelphia region, including Bucks County residents.

This hands-on volunteer effort helps ensure that homebound individuals and those in need have access to nourishing meals and compassionate support.

Food Drive for Family Service Association of Bucks County

MWA members also organized a collection of non-perishable food donations to support local families served by Family Service Association.

These essential items help stock local food pantries and provide relief for individuals and families navigating challenging circumstances throughout Bucks County.

Supporting Morrisville Families

Volunteers from the Makefield Women’s Association partnered with the IFA Alliance to pack food distribution bags for Morrisville residents in hardship.  By assisting with this effort, our members helped ensure that local households had access to groceries and basic necessities.

Continuing Our Commitment to Service in Bucks County

The 45 Acts of Service initiative reflects the heart of the Makefield Women’s Association: neighbors helping neighbors. In addition to these special projects, our members continue to support a wide range of Bucks County nonprofits and community organizations through ongoing volunteer work, donations, and fundraising.  By dedicating time each month to meaningful service projects, we hope to make a lasting impact while strengthening the spirit of generosity across our community.

As we move through the year, we look forward to sharing more updates about the ways our members are giving back throughout Bucks County and the surrounding communities.
