Makefield Women’s Association (MWA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Lower Makefield, PA
Comprised of diverse women dedicated to raising funds and providing services to those in need throughout Bucks County. Initially founded in the early 1960s as The Yardley-Makefield Jaycees Auxiliary, the group separated from the National Jaycees in 1979 and became The Yardley-Makefield Women’s Auxiliary before ultimately adopting the name Makefield Women’s Association. For over 45 years, MWA has continued serving the community through meaningful fundraising efforts and supporting appointed nonprofit organizations.

CARING.
Each year, members select a group of local nonprofits to be Annual Beneficiaries through a nominating and voting process. With these organizations in mind, MWA hosts fundraising events and collects donations for the year. At year-end, proceeds are distributed to the beneficiaries to support their continued service and contributions to the community.

COMMITTED.
Members of MWA not only raise funds for local nonprofits but also support these organizations in various engaging activities. From donation drives to volunteer work, there’s always something exciting happening at MWA.

COMMUNITY.
Our members build relationships and stay connected through service and social events. Volunteering together or enjoying a night out with the MWA gives like-minded people with the same passion for service in their community the opportunity to connect.

JOIN OUR GROUP: At MWA, we believe in the power of community and the strength of shared values. We invite any woman in Bucks County, PA, or the surrounding areas to join us in serving our community. We meet the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in Yardley, PA.
