Back in 2013, a client recommended joining MWA.  That night, I joined her for a meeting; the rest is history. I love how MWA members care! We set our hearts on something, and our group always shows up and completes the work.  Our beneficiaries support those in need in Buck’s County. We work on fundraising events and perform service activities to help these groups.  We also have fun through our social groups and just keeping things running.  I have proudly served our website, social media, and marketing committee since 2013.

I immensely enjoy helping with the Bingo committee and being a part of all the hard work that goes into a great night of fun and fundraising.  I have also been the bingo caller for five years, a job I love.  When we give the money away, our beneficiaries tell us about their work in our community each April.  That is why I love to help with our fundraisers.  The amount of work also seems a little impossible, but somehow, we always get it done, year after year.  I am in awe of how our group organizes and comes together to help.  We each have our strengths and shine in those moments; from outstanding event leadership to the cleanup, we work hard each year to get a little better than the last.

I also love the MWA book club.  I read so much, and being around women with the same passion opens my mind to a new interpretation of the books. We have the best discussions and enjoy thinking of different possibilities.  I also leave with new book recommendations and a full cup.

MWA cares!  Our beneficiaries and their work are so important; we never lose sight of that.
